Wilder Memorial Nursery School · Founded in 1924 · Hingham, MA

In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, and to enhance the health and safety of the children at Wilder School, we do the following:
There are at least two staff members supervising the children at all times.
The front door is always locked and the side (ramp) door is left unlocked only when the children are in the playground.
No one, other than teachers or parents, is allowed in the playground during school hours. People who wish to gain access to the meadow behind Wilder must wait until the end of the school day to do so.

Every visitor must stop by the office when entering the building.
Only parents are allowed unaccompanied into the classrooms.
Only persons listed on the authorization form may pick up a child. Parents MUST send in a note if someone whose name is NOT on the form will be picking up their child. Authorization must always be in writing. A Fax or email is also acceptable.
A photo ID must be shown if someone new is picking up your child. We will release your child only to an authorized adult.
Wilder has a health care professional designated as our health care consultant.
We have a First Aid kit on premises and one is always provided for field trips.
Our entire staff is certified in pediatric CPR procedures and First Aid.
Emergency phone numbers are posted near every telephone.
There is no hazardous equipment in the school. We are lead-paint free.
Our equipment is sturdy, clean, safe, appropriate for preschoolers, and constantly checked. We are alert to toy recalls and make certain the children's toys are safe.
There is nothing dangerous or unsafe within a child's reach.
